Fuel supply

The fuel system at the Center for Mobile Propulsion has been adapted to the needs of modern propulsion research and offers a variety of fuel types. In the underground tanks of the fuel supply system, up to 160,000 litres can be stored in 15 tanks - 5,000 to 40,000 - in a wide range.

In addition, a storage facility for 150 barrels of various fuel types developed and supplied by the Fuel Science Center with its Cluster of Excellence was built. Of course, it was also ensured that it was possible to provide Compressed Natural Gas, in short CNG and Liquefied Petroleum Gas, in short LPG, in sufficient quantities.
