MobilEM

This demanding topic is addressed by a new post graduate program „Integrated Energy Supply Modules for Roadbound E-Mobility“, in short mobilEM, at RWTH Aachen University and it pursues the goal of researching the physical basics of electrochemical storage for mobile drives and combining these with novel fuel-powered range-extenders. The range extender module enables the energetically sensible dimensioning of the electrical storage system, the thermal conditioning of the electrochemical storage system and the efficient air-conditioning of the vehicle interior.

The Center for Mobile Propulsion, in short CMP, provides real-time networked laboratories for the investigation of batteries, electromechanical energy converters, chemical-mechanical energy converters and complete hybrid drives and thus creates ideal boundary conditions for experimental as well as accompanying simulative work in the graduate college.
